Timber Joinery

Windows, doors, stairs and furniture.

Solid timber has always been part of Carrolls. It calls for specialist skills that cannot be replaced by machinery alone, and we have continued to keep those skills within the team.

Timber craft, carried forward.

Restoration and renovation

For renovations and additions to villas, cottages and homesteads, we can reproduce the proportions, profiles and details of the original windows and doors. New joinery can include double glazing while still sitting naturally alongside the existing building.

We also repair timber joinery. Depending on its condition, that might mean replacing one damaged component, remaking a window or door to match, or redesigning it for the way the home is used now.

New timber joinery

For new homes, we make timber windows, entrance doors and other architectural joinery from plans or in collaboration with the client, architect or builder. Timber is selected according to the design, where it will be used, the performance required and the available budget.

Beyond windows and doors

Beyond windows and doors, our timber work includes staircases, furniture, benchtops, bench seating and specialist details within kitchens and wider joinery projects. We can also work with reclaimed timber or wood that has been kept within a family, turning it into something that can remain part of its story.

Bring it to Carrolls

If timber joinery is part of your project, we’d like to be involved. Come in, meet the team and tell us what you have in mind.
